On February 2nd, The Pete and Jameer Nelson Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual College Tool Kit Series. The event provided over 75 people an opportunity to experience first-hand academics, athletics, and a behind-the-scenes look at life as a collegiate student-athlete. Students and participants were given the opportunity to take a birds-eye view” on college life as a Hawk.

This years featured special guest was Saint Joesph’s  Assistant Coach Geoff Arnold. Geoff Arnold, a former Hawk standout delivered a quick synopsis on his career. Geoff mentioned the importance that education has played in his career and encourages participants to take advantage of the resources the foundation provides, especially at a young age. The game was a great opportunity to see athletics at the collegiate level and participants walked out with a smile as the hawks rose victorious snapping a two-game losing streak for the Hawks.

As a foundation, we are committed to providing academic, social, and athletic development to young student-athletes in the Chester/Philadelphia region while enhancing each child’s opportunity to reach their full potential throughout all areas of life.

The foundation is excited to host next year’s 4th Annual College Toolkit. If you would like to stay informed on next years dates and other upcoming programs please follow us on social media:
